Let’s talk drivers for a moment. No, I’m not talking the Miss Daisy kind. I’m talking the kind that help run the hardware of your computer. Pretty much doesn’t matter the OS, each one relies on drivers to act as a control for the hardware you plug into the computer. Without them the computer is just worthless. Now drivers are like anything else related to computers: they can be updated/upgraded until the hardware they run is obsolete and sometimes long after that. When you get a new computer or a new piece of hardware, typically the manufacturer will use the latest drivers available at the build time. It’s a great way to start on a new computer. This of course assumes that the devices haven’t sat on the shelf or in a warehouse for very long prior to purchase. Either way, it’s a good idea to update your drivers.
